Position overview

Tomales Bay Foods, home of the Cowgirl Creamery, is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Human Resources department. As a member of our small but mighty HR team, you will help support our hard-working crews via day-to-day operations in the following areas: benefits administration, records & data management, employee relations, training, onboarding, recruitment/employment, payroll processing, and more. This is a great opportunity to join our growing, cheese-loving team! This is a full-time roll based at our office in Petaluma with occasional travel to our locations in Pt Reyes and San Francisco.

What You'll Do:

• Maintain HRISs records and employee data, including new hires, terminations, and employee changes. • Manage bi-weekly payroll processing and reporting. • Manage all benefits programs, including employee eligibility and notifications, open enrollment, quarterly SF HCO rosters, annual 401(k)l filings, etc., coordinating with outside vendors and brokers as needed. • Support in-house recruiting including job posting and initial screening. Work with managers through hiring process from requisition to onboarding. • Support creation, execution, and maintenance of company training and development programs. • Assist in development, documentation and implementation of human resource policies. • Maintain and coordinate employee recognition & engagement programs.

What You Bring:

• 1-2 years of previous HR experience, ideally in payroll and benefits administration. • AA degree in Human Resources or Human Resources certificate. • Bilingual in English/Spanish is highly preferred. • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel. • Working knowledge of current federal and state labor laws. • Analytical, organized, and detail oriented mindset. • Strong professional work ethic with ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information.
