We are looking for an Associate to join our Business Development & Strategic Partnerships team to help grow our largest partnerships, and launch new partnerships. In this role, you will be responsible for leading day-to-day operations with Covo’s strategic partners, while developing and executing on new partner growth initiatives. You will serve as a partner advocate, often functioning as a liaison between our partners and internal team. We are looking for a strategic thinker who executes; this person thrives in a fast-paced, always-on, results-oriented culture. You love problem solving, collaborating across functional domains, and driving projects from beginning to end. You love pounding the pavement and making inroads. You’re an excellent communicator and enjoy working with others to deliver results. This is a hands-on, high execution role which requires excellent business, people, and analytical skills.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Outreach to the phenomenal companies who are brand-aligned with us. This includes international corporations like Thrive Global and Virgin Group, local corporations like IndieGogo, Yahoo, accelerators and incubators including Y-Combinator and 500 Startups, non-profits like Full Circle Fund and associations like the GGBA Chamber of Commerce. We have connections to many of these groups, but you will make inroads into many more. • Securing partnership deals, sponsorships, group memberships. • Manage key partner relationships, actively engaging to meet sales & marketing goals while also handling the operational day-to-day • Work alongside partnerships team to build out strategy for executing on shared volume goals with our largest partners. Bring your ideas to the table. • Establish processes and reporting to help streamline the team’s operations • Partner with marketing team to develop and launch new marketing campaigns with partners • Develop a deep understanding of Covo’s mission, goals, day-to-day operations, and competitive context • Collaborate with partners to ensure that the experiences we build together are the best possible for users, support our partners' goals, and align with Covo’s mission • Develop strong relationships at all levels, identifying key decision makers and influencers
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
• Motivated, self-starter, who can work with little supervision • Some level of experience in partnerships, business development, sales support, account management, or management consulting. This can be your first job out of college, but you have relevant experience from earlier work experience. • Strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships with any team internally or externally • Ability to think creatively, critically and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, work environment • Appetite to actively learn and immediately apply learnings to make decisions and change behaviors • BA/BS required
SALARY, BENEFITS & PERKS:
