People Operations Coordinator
Crafty’s mission is to help companies craft better workplaces. We work with offices to elevate happiness by providing snacks, beverages, alcohol, and cool happy hour events! When we first launched on December 1, 2015, our business was a craft beer marketplace that delivered delicious, small-batch local craft beers to offices throughout the city. We have since evolved into a food, beverage, and events management platform for offices in Chicago. Some of our biggest name customers are Google, Uber, Yelp, Salesforce, Trunk Club, WeWork, and Coyote Logistics! From hot coffee to cold brew coffee, from kegs of craft beer to bottles of Bud Light, from LaCroix to Coke Zero, from coffee cups to plastic silverware, and from fully stocked office kitchens to poppin’ events and tastings, we offer a truly comprehensive product portfolio.
Crafty is seeking a People Operations Coordinator to assist in running and managing our recruitment processes and employee programs. We have experienced rapid growth since Crafty’s founding, and this role will continue to strengthen and execute on our programs within our People Operations department including Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, People Development, and Culture. Responsibilities will include (but not limited to): Talent Acquisition + focus on non-exempt applicant screening and end-to-end coordination of interviews both in Chicago and across our different markets while constantly evaluating our current processes within recruitment. + maintain a pipeline of qualified applicants to support our growing Client Services and Supply Chain Operations teams. Over time, this person will support screening and interview coordination for candidates up to the Manager-level. Human Resources + provide administrative support to our employees, acting as the point-of-contact and trusted partner regarding our policies and benefits for Crafty employees. + conduct pre-boarding activities (i.e. background checks), and new-hire onboarding, (i.e. I-9 verification, direct deposit, tax forms, and benefits enrollment) for all non-exempt hires. People Development + ensure performance reviews are conducted and completed in a timely manner. + facilitate completion of job certifications either before or during an employee’s tenure. + co-lead internal meetings Culture + organize and plan company events such as lunches, happy hours, holiday parties, and other internal events This is an exciting opportunity to join a hyper-growth startup, deliver on many of Crafty’s people initiatives, and grow your career in People Operations. + 1 - 2 years of People Operations, HR, or Talent Acquisition experience in a hyper-growth, fast-paced environment. + Prior experience conducting new hire onboarding + Experience working with systems, especially HRIS and/or ATS. + Experience hiring a large non-exempt workforce is a huge plus
