The Nona Lim line of soups, broths, and noodles features Asian favorites, inspired by Nona’s childhood in Singapore and the culinary creativity of California. With products that are ready in minutes, Nona Lim makes it easy and delicious to eat well and fuel an active lifestyle. All Nona Lim products are sold in the refrigerated section. In the last few years, Nona Lim has been recognized widely for both clean label and great taste with awards from Clean Eating Magazine, Prevention Magazine, and SOFIs in 2015 and 2017. Nona is proud to have built her business in West Oakland near a hub of other artisan food manufacturers. Nona Lim is the 2013 recipient of the Oakland Youth Friendly Business Award, takes pride in being a Certified Green Business with Alameda County, and won the SBA Emerging Business Award in 2016. Nona is also a current member and past President of the SF Professional Food Society and is also a Board Director for the Specialty Food Association.

Position overview

We are looking for someone passionate about making great products to join the Nona Lim production team. You will be responsible for making sure that products are made safely, consistently, and with great quality through following standard food safety procedures.


• Ensure that food products are processed and prepared by following standards of cleanliness and hygiene. • Follow kitchen sanitation and cleaning checklists and other checklists, as instructed. • Operate food processing equipment. • Clean dishes, kitchen, office and equipment, as needed. • Maintain the facility grounds as per the regular cleaning schedule. • Assist in month end of physical inventory. • Perform additional responsibilities, as requested by the Production Supervisor or Plant Manager • Comply with food safety program and maintain clean and orderly work areas


• Work in a continuously-standing position for five or more hours • Work with hands continuously • Work in a cold environment, such as the walk-in cooler and with ice-water at the cooling station • Be able to frequently bend, stoop, and lift objects up to 60 pounds • Work various shifts (mornings, nights, and/or weekends), as required • Work as a team player at all times.
