Tin Pot Creamery is a small batch ice creamery with a production kitchen and several scoop shops in the Bay Area. The team at Tin Pot handcrafts ice creams, toppings, sauces, mix-ins and baked goods every day. The menu changes seasonally and there is a strong emphasis on organic and local ingredients. Position overview

Reports directly to General Manager Tin Pot Creamery’s Assistant Manager (AM) is expected to ensure a great customer experience while maximizing sales, managing FOH employees and helping maintain a friendly, staffed and stocked store. Through hiring, training, scheduling, ordering, financial reporting and managing, the AM provides a supportive role to the General Manager and helps keep the store up to Tin Pot Creamery Standards.

Qualifications:

● 6+ months food service leadership experience or 12+ months retail leadership ● High School Diploma or G.E.D. required ● has or can obtain a Food Handler’s Card within 2 weeks of hire ● Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand on your feet for 40+ hours per week

Duties and Responsibilities:

● Refer to Scooper, Key Holder and Shift Manager Job Descriptions for additional list of duties the AM is responsible for. ● Supervise and oversee daily operations of Tin Pot Creamery under the General Manager ● Follow safety and sanitation guidelines ● Ensure stores are consistent and maintained at high level that fit the Tin Pot brand. ● Support the GM’s staffing efforts through recruitment, interviewing and training staff. ● Create weekly employee schedule for GM to approve ● Ensure and enforce staff's understanding of company policies, guidelines and procedures. ● Develop and support employees including training & enforcing procedures, educating and retraining, regular meetings and performance reviews as directed by GM ● Conduct weekly 1:1 meetings with Key Holders and Shift Leads ● Present weekly summary at GM 1:1 ● Hold employees accountable for work performed (quality, efficiency, attendance, appearance & behavior) ● Gives feedback to coworkers in a timely manner ● Coach, teach and demonstrate sound customer service principles to all store staff ● Use direct customer contact to resolve issues as needed ● Assist putting out & maintaining merchandising displays (packaging, signage, labels, etc) ● Ensure the maintenance of store equipment through routine cleaning ● Collect and fulfill Pre-Order requests ● Conduct monthly inventory and submit by opening, the 1st day of every month ● Monitor inventory and supply levels and order products as they are needed ● Balances cash drawers, prepares deposits and places change requests with bank ● Communicate any issues with GM (staff or product shortages, staff training needs, etc) ● Quality Control menu items to ensure the highest degree of quality and freshness
