Position overview

Workstream is looking for an entrepreneurial, scrappy and passionate sales hire to be based out of San Francisco. The position will be the first outbound sales development representative and/or account executive for the team, who will closely alongside the CEO to come up with a sales/growth strategy for the team. The position will involve a lot of cold emails, phone calls, hustling, sales demo, prospecting, and will be a highly entrepreneurial role. The position will have a lot of room and opportunity to expand into a sales & business development leader within the team quickly as the team grows. You will be responsible for prospecting and starting new relations with small and medium sized businesses. This means taking creative measures to map out the prospect’s organization chart, identifying key stakeholders, and communicating Workstream’s value offerings to the client’s business needs in an effective and professional manner. In addition to your inbound and outbound sales responsibilities, you will work with the CEO and Sales Management team, who will serve as mentors, to develop new leads, identify and develop new complicated sales opportunities and help close business. As a sales associate, you are responsible for forging the expansion of the corporate account base while learning the skills to be a successful business development executive and maximizing your personal earnings.

Responsbilities

Use tools such as LinkedIn, Zenprospect, Hubspot, Hunter.io etc. to perform outbound and inbound sales activities. Including prospecting, follow-up and closing Scrape data from Yelp, LinkedIn, Crunchbase with our software engineering team to come up with a list of potential leads to prospect and follow up on Meet and exceed monthly activity metrics for outbound calls, appointments set, opportunities added Research accounts to understand the customer’s need, perform effective follow-up, and generate interest Build strong relationships and effectively communicate with the sales, support and marketing teams Proactively look for opportunities to improve and optimize lead management Contact existing customers to obtain referrals, and cross-sell complementary products

Requirements

Minimum 1-2 years in sales selling into small and medium sized businesses. (SMBs) Must have experience cold calling and emailing High energy with a strong work ethic with a "get sh*t done" attitude. Willing and capable to dial a large volume of outbound calls and emails Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills (great grammar) Experience with CRM/Contact Management Systems Proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
