We are looking for Workstream Ninjas to work directly with the team leads of Workstream. Depending on your focus areas, you will be working directly with Business Development, Marketing, Operations, Product/Data, Customer Success or the founders. Ideally, you are passionate, detail-oriented, an excellent communicator, independent thinker and incredibly intelligent.

Workstream is a Palo Alto based, rapidly growing startup, funded by well known institutional and angel investors including Basis Set Ventures, Peter Thiel, CEO Zoom, CEO DoorDash, Peterson Ventures, Heartland Ventures, Jay Z, Joe Montana, James Harden, Chairman of Louis Vuitton, and more. We are a small team of ~20 full timers + a few part timers, from Y Combinator, MIT, Google, Harvard, Qualtrics, Wharton, Stanford, Yelp, Glassdoor, Cornell, and more, with a strong passion to make hiring easier and faster. We hope you will bring the same energy and share with the team.

We are looking for someone that can grow with our team over time. You will get plenty of exposure to the leadership team (think weekly), reporting directly to one of the founders or team leads.

You will succeed if you have a startup mentality of “getting sh*t done”, and you will grow as the company scales. If you are looking for a relaxed 9-5, please back away slowly. The main goal of the Workstream Ninja is to support the founders and team leads directly on a wide range of scope, from sales, partnerships, revenue growth, recruiting, HR, operations, strategy, and more.

(5) Operations/Talent

- Some activities include the following
a) Business Development - building strategic networks with potential customers and corporates from Jamba Juice, McDonald's, Westin, Marriott to Subway
b) Sales - closing revenue and deals on your own, together with the CEO, doing software demos, pitching and closing deals
c) Marketing, PR and more - creating content, writing blog posts, talking to journalists, creating marketing content
d) New strategic projects - testing out new areas of growth directly with the CEO by talking to potential partners or clients, going deep in and thinking about new areas of growth
e) Strategy and investor relations - You will work closely with Desmond to help create monthly investor reports, and weekly team reports, and quarterly board decks. You should be great at preparing presentation slides fast, and be able to conduct business presentation slides, pitches and share the vision and product of Workstream.
f) HR and recruiting - You will be managing recruiting pipeline, sourcing for good candidates, reaching out to conduct first interviews, helping to hire the best people
g) Operations - You will help build out the company's finance, accounting, people operations, and other important operational functions within the company

- As a Workstream Ninja, it's a good opportunity to learn to be an entrepreneur and work in a fast-moving startup - you are entrepreneurial, scrappy, quick-thinking and hungry and eager to work in this role to support the team leads

- You will be a hustler, willing to work extremely hard to network, loves to connect with people genuinely, to help them, have a good understanding or network in the franchise / restaurant / hospitality space, or is motivated to quickly build that knowledge and network.

- Fluent with Google Sheets and (to a lesser extent) Excel.
- Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment.
- You are an excellent written and verbal communicator.
- You have fantastic problem-solving abilities, analytical horsepower, an attention to detail, and a willingness to do whatever it takes to get things done.
- Self-directed learner who requires little oversight.

Nice to have:
- You have worked remotely before or are based around Singapore/Palo Alto.
