Director of Sales

Workstream is looking for an entrepreneurial, scrappy and passionate sales lead. The position will have an opportunity to grow into a leadership role and will be working closely alongside the CEO to come up with a sales/growth strategy for the team. You will be responsible for owning the overall revenue numbers with the CEO, managing the current sales team, and also doing a lot of calling, hustling, experiments and prospecting. This will be a highly entrepreneurial role, with a lot of room and opportunity to expand into a sales & business development leader within the team quickly as the team grows. You combine soft and hard data to make sales and growth decisions. • You have fantastic problem-solving abilities, analytical horsepower , an attention to detail, and a willingness to do whatever it takes to get things done. • You have 3+ years experience in both managing sales team and being a top individual contributor in B2B SaaS. You can easily get a job at Google, but would rather be sales manager #1 at a fast growing startup. • Nice to have: experience working as an hourly blue collar worker in the past. • Nice to have: experience with building software products for users not in tech (such as retail, hospitality, logistics, etc.).
Responsibilities • Provide sales management, inspiration and coaching to a team of Account Executives and SDRs, who are charged with bringing in new business against monthly revenue targets • Set up CRM infrastructure, run data analysis and set up sales infrastructure, operations and workflows • Coach, develop and motivate your team of reps to become top achievers and future leaders. • Share best practices when it comes to inside sales (phone) and closing effectively • Exceed monthly sales team quotas and successfully complete all activities that drive revenue generation • Implement strategic sales training, planning, and forecasting • Assess your team accurately to provide best coaching while quickly ramping • Jump on sales calls and demos as a player / coach • Set up sales structure, processes and documentation
• 3+ years of experience effectively developing, managing and leading inside sales teams • Thoughtful leader with excellent communication skills and high emotional intelligence • Consistent track record of success leading a team to exceed revenue goals • Demonstrated ability to implement and train sales teams in strategic selling techniques • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to coach, develop and motivate a team • Experience developing sales plans and analyzing metrics • Experience selling digital products to SMBs preferred but not required • Hubspot CRM experience preferred but not required
