Position overview

This is a part-time, commission only position, where the employee works when they desire.

Primary Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions

•Plan and schedule wine tasting events in the community. •Order samples, as needed for scheduled tastings. •Execute scheduled wine tastings, exposing wine enthusiasts to our brand. •Place customer wine orders in a timely manner. •Follow up with customers to ensure wine was delivered and they are satisfied. •Contact customers for wine re-orders. •Support National Sales efforts in local Market as needed when available.

Database Management

•Create and maintain a contact management system of customer information. Include phone numbers, address, email addresses, wine preferences, frequency of purchases, gift buying info, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. Input this information into the winery database on a regular basis. •Continually update customer information and correct information that comes back incomplete or incorrect.


•Well developed, detail-oriented, customer service skills. •Excellent written & verbal communication skills. •The ability to work independently. •A valid/current Alcohol Server’s Permit, if the state requires. •A passion for turning customers into WVV Wine Enthusiasts. •Must be able to lift and carry 40 lbs. (a case of wine).

Other Skills/Abilities

• Send correspondence cards to your clients; within reason. • Remain up to date by attend sales training, wine education seminars and complete wine education courses, at the employee’s expense. • Supports Company’s effort to create a more sustainable and “green” environment to improve the company’s positive impact on the environment (reduce paper use, recycle, etc.). • Meet with WVV reps whenever they are in the market, if possible. •Willing to learn about wine and the wine making processes. •Genuine interest in the luxury wine business & terminology. •Willing to learn and present the WVV story.

• Policies and Procedures in the Willamette Valley Vineyards Employee Handbook and related Policies and Procedures in the Policy & Procedure Manual are to be included in this agreement.
