Our Maison Bleue location in Walla Walla is searching for an experienced & energetic Winery Ambassador & Experience Lead that is a team player and a customer-focused individual to join our team of wine enthusiasts! Winery Ambassador & Experience leads are responsible for: creating a world-class, wine-focused experience for all tasting room guests and building and nurturing long term relationships with Maison Bleue and Pambrun customers and Wine Club Members for the purpose of wine sales.

Primary Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions

Tasting Room & Events: ●Leads the sales experience of the Walla Walla Tasting Room with emphasis on creating a memorable experience for the customers, exceeding sales and Wine Club membership goals. Work the Tasting Room during peak demand and visitation times. ●Develop enhanced experience opportunities to drive visitation to the Tasting Room and differentiate our experience among the others in the region. ●Assist with the scheduling of the team, staff training, and performance improvement. ●Contribute to the department dashboard reporting key metrics of the Tasting Room performance. ●Maintain Tasting Room supplies and marketing materials. ●Maintain facilities including cleanliness, the orderliness of furnishings and displays, and address any maintenance and repair needs with your manager. ●Ensures inventory controls and monthly processes are followed in the Tasting Room, events and wine storage facility. ●Maintains and updates Tasting Flights in collaboration with the manager with a focus on a sales opportunity, seasonality and inventory levels. ●Develops an annual calendar of winery events for on and off-site activities and helps plan and execute events in conjunction with the Winemaker and team. Events should be focused on high-end wine consumer exposure, lead collection, and direct sales. Add events to the calendar with info@mbwinery.com invited. Work with the marketing department in coordinating promotional efforts including email blasts, invitations, and other communications. ●Oversees social media accounts to brand standards with a focus on quality, premium wine content, and engagement. ●Supports local wine wholesale efforts by selling Maison Bleue and Pambrun wine into local Walla Walla restaurant accounts and fulfilling orders on a regular basis. This increases brand visibility and drives follow-up visitation to the Tasting Room. ●Partners with area wineries, hotels and B&Bs to cross direct traffic to the Tasting Room. ●Hosts trade and media guests for earned media and sales opportunities. Goes above and beyond in creating a VIP experience. Winery Ambassador: ●Winery Ambassador commissions can be earned on orders sold over the phone or email, but not directly to Tasting Room visitors. Those sales are counted toward Tasting Room revenues. You are able to cultivate your own customer base and potentially set up commissionable sales in the Tasting Room. ●Winery Ambassadors offer customers a pleasurable and memorable experience while selling them wine. The primary function of this position is to contact customers 1st: by phone, 2nd: by email, and 3rd: by mail to generate sales. ●Work with the Winery Ambassador Manager on setting monthly and annual direct sales goals and work plan items. ●Winery Ambassadors are expected to meet the performance standards outlined in the Commissions Policy & Procedure. These performance standards include meeting daily call volumes, being a participating team member, regular workplace attendance and hitting the sales goals. ●Maintain the WineDirect database of all customer information and build a history. Include phone #, address, credit card #, wine preferences, frequency of purchases, gift buying info, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. ●Assure all orders are placed in a timely manner, shipping details sent to customers, notes are placed in customer accounts, and required Daily Tracking Sheet google doc is filled out. ●Send correspondence cards to your clients, within reason. Sending personal touches like a handwritten thank you card, birthday card, anniversary card, etc. will help to nurture your long-term relationship. ●Prior to Wine Club shipments, call all Wine Club Members with a courtesy and sales call to add bottles to their shipment. ●Attend monthly department meetings with the team and use these meetings as a time to share your progress to your monthly and yearly goals and any performance issues. Share ideas to help your teammates and sales promotions. Attend sales training, wine education seminars and complete wine education courses as requested by managers.

Requirements

●Must be able to lift 40 lbs. ●Must be willing to work peak demand and event days, which include weekends and some evenings and holidays. Must be able to travel to work off-site events as needed. Most travel will take place within Washington. ●Must have highly developed organizational and time management skills. Ability to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team. Build team dynamics and synergy across departments. Optimize resource potential. ●Must be able to communicate through active listening skills and gather accurate insights into human behavior. Excellent interpersonal skills. Independently motivated to generate sales. ●Must be able to meet and exceed sales goals. ●Maintain an average of at least 20 outbound phone calls per day during Winery Ambassador scheduled days. ●Track all hours worked by using the timecard function in the payroll software.

Other Skills/Abilities

●Ability to use standard CRM, POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite. ●Thorough understanding and genuine interest in luxury wine business and terminology. ●Ability to educate customers about wine with a passion, not pretension.
