Willamette Valley Vineyards is searching for 2 energetic self-starters to join our Demo Ambassador team in the Seattle and Tacoma areas. The Seattle member will cover King & Snohomish Counties, including Seattle, Shoreline, Tukwila, Redmond, Issaquah, Bellingham, etc. The Tacoma member will cover the South Puget Sound region, including Tacoma, Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater, Federal Way, Bonney Lake, etc. Demo Ambassadors are engaging and helpful to store employees and customers, often merchandising wine, doing product surveys, and sampling wines while sharing the Willamette Valley Vineyards story. They are responsible for scheduling, coordinating and conducting wine tasting demos in a variety of stores, special events and retail outlets in a specific geographic area. This is a part-time position, where the employee works when demos or events are scheduled, with a focus on evening and weekends. Passionate, self initiating storytellers will excel at this position. Additionally, this is a wonderful opportunity for students, retirees, homemakers or individuals desiring a flexible part-time position.
Primary Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions
• Manage assigned territory, becoming familiar with key stores, wine stewards, store managers & their guidelines for demo tastings. • Requests samples for tastings & manages sample inventory. • Complete and turn in Demo Tasting Forms and Price & Stack Surveys. • Supports Company’s effort to create a more sustainable, cross-cultural and “green” environment.
Must have o Highly developed, detail-oriented customer service, organizational & time management skills. o Excellent written & verbal communication skills. o The ability to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team. o A valid/current OLCC Server’s Permit. Must be o Able to stand for long periods of time & work in a fast-pace environment. o Available to work peak tourism & traffic times including holidays, weekends, & evenings. o Available to work off-site events. o Lift 40 lbs.
Desired o Knowledge of wine & winemaking processes. o Genuine interest in the luxury wine business & terminology.
