Love working with people? Passionate about wine? Willamette Wineworks is looking for Tasting Room Associates to join our team! This position is a regular part-time position with a schedule averaging 16-24 hours per week. Position Overview: Responsible for creating a world-class experience and delivering excellent customer service for guests by communicating the uniqueness of Willamette Wineworks, Willamette Valley Vineyards, all our wines, and our story. Serves guests by pouring wines for tastings, providing information to help with wine and food selections, leading wine blending experiences and promoting the sale of wine and non-wine products.

Primary Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions

•Greet visitors to Wineworks and pour wine for tasting. •Take wine and food orders, providing detailed descriptions of the menu and suggested pairings. •Promote the sale of wine, non-wine merchandise, and the Wine Club. •Describe wines, winemaking techniques, and the winery’s history. •Lead guests in a unique wine blending experience. •Handle routine purchasing transactions, which include operating POS registers and accounting for sales throughout the day. •Prepare shipping documentation and special items, when applicable, and ensure that wine is shipped to reciprocal states only and that the correct shipping procedure is followed. •Perform open and closing procedures, which may include locking/arming the facility, reconciling poured wines, counting cash, balancing registers, and ensuring that daily receipts are properly secured in the safe. •Process wine orders and Wine Club pick-ups. •Maintain supply of clean glasses, washing and drying racks of glasses throughout the day. •Maintain daily supplies, which include bags, wine carriers, shippers, brochures, etc. •Expedites and runs food in absence of food runner. •Assist with monthly wine inventory. •General housekeeping responsibilities, which include cleaning work area, wiping counters, dusting, bussing tables, refilling water stations, etc. •Busses and clears dishes when necessary. •Assist with On-site events. •Assist with other duties as necessary. •Supports Company’s effort to create a more sustainable, cross-cultural and “green” environment. Designated Associates may: •Serves as the person in charge of the Wineworks Tasting Room when Tasting Room Manager, Assistant Manager or Wineworks Lead is not present. •Assist Wineworks Manager and Assistant Manager with special projects as assigned. •Assist in planning On-site events and festivals •Assist with the orientation and training for new TR Associates.


•A minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer service, food service, wine, or Hospitality fields. •Excellent, detail-oriented customer service & time management skills. •Excellent written & verbal communication skills. •The ability to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team, and build dynamics and synergy across departments. •A valid/current Food Handler’s Card (or willing to obtain one prior to start date). •The ability to use point-of-sale (POS) systems, Google services, & Microsoft Office Suite. •Stand for long periods of time & work in a fast-paced environment. •Available to work peak traffic times including holidays, weekends, & evenings. •Available to work on-site events. •Flexible & willing to work in a continually changing environment. •Lift 40 lbs. •Effectively present information and respond to questions appropriately. •Independently motivated to identify and resolve issues.
